“WITHOUT A VISION THE PEOPLE PERISH”

“Promoting Academic Excellence for all our students is paramount to our vision and work here at P.S. 25.  We believe that all of our students can and will learn when effectively differentiated for based on their needs and interests.”

TOWARD A NEW VISION
– A “SCHOOL OF ONE”
  • Where each child is seen as the only child in the school
  • Where every single child in every single classroom is differentiated for based on his/her needs and interests
  • Where learning is personalized for every child
  • Where every single child knows that there is at least one person in the building who knows his/her story and cares deeply about him/her.

Our Students,  Our Faculty, Our Families, Our Community: Together We Are Bed-Stuy Brilliance!

April 2, 2020
 Hello D16 Family,

We hope you are all safe, healthy, and encouraged to move forward during our new normal of remote learning. We know this is not an easy time. We are dealing with so much right now. We acknowledge that we are operating in truly unchartered waters, but the D16 community is strong, resilient, and innovative! In an effort to provide support, community and connection, we are launching a campaign called Sweet 16 Cares. Our goal is to be transparent, provide up to date information, encouragement and resources to help our families navigate during this crisis.
We have an immediate request. We need you to complete a quick SURVEY by Tuesday April 6, 2020. We will use the results from the survey to shape our work. Additionally, we are planning a virtual Family Gathering on April 8, 2020. The Family Gathering is a town hall style meeting for adults. The purpose is not only to hear from you, but also to build our network, engage in conversation, and give each other virtual hugs and love.
Times have changed. The gravity of what’s happening in the world is heavy, but we are family. We lead with our hearts as well as our head. We will persevere. We are D16 Strong!
We will post information regarding the virtual Family Gathering, shortly, but in the meantime, stay positive, stay safe, stay encouraged.

With love,
Team D16
